2016 ATHENA Award

The Greater Pittsburgh ATHENA Award recognizes exceptional women who demonstrate excellence in their profession, contribute to their community and help other women to succeed through mentorship.

Audrey Dunning

CEO, Summa Technologies, Inc.

Dunning leads a team of more than 200 developers, coaches and strategists at the award-winning digital solutions consultancy Summa Technologies, Inc. During her decade as CEO, revenues have increased sevenfold, while customer retention and employee retention reached industry highs. Women now comprise half the senior leadership team, as well as 75 percent of the Summa Apprenticeship Program for entry-level technologists.

2016 ATHENA Young Professional Award

The Greater Pittsburgh ATHENA Young Professional Award recognizes an emerging leader age 35 or younger who demonstrate excellence in their profession, contribute to their community.

Marteen Garay

Director of Entrepreneur Programming, Urban Innovation21

In her role at, Garay develops Urban Innovation21’s entrepreneurial programs and educational workshops, and connects startups to business development opportunities. She is also the co-founder of Invest In Her Pittsburgh, a nonprofit that hosts the only all-female business pitch competition in Pittsburgh. She helped to develop the Homewood-Brushton Business Association to support small businesses based in that community.
